I am a photographer who captures love and moments in real time based on emotion and connection. After 5 years of attempting to be the photographer who poses you every few seconds and attempting to make sure everything goes according to plan, I learned that is not my style. What I found is a niche for storytelling photography, which means I photograph your story in a way that reflects YOU and your memories just as they are. I watch and I listen for the small and big moments, ones filled with laughter and tears, secrets and speeches. I capture you and your memories as genuinely as possible, and I want you to feel comfortable and safe as I do so. Will I pose you every now and again? Yes, but for the most part I just go with the flow. My focus is to make sure that you are LIVING the moment, because in 5-50 years I want you to look back and feel and remember those moments so vividly. It’s hard to do so when someone is constantly telling you how to look or stand :)

I fall into the stereotypical photographer class when it comes to saying that “When I was little I had a camera…and in high school I documented everything…etc”. Yep, I sure did. I even did yearbook in high school. But that just means that I’ve been passionate about photographing memories for a long time, right? After high school I went to college for Political Science, and at age 21 I got my Bachelors in that, with a minor in International Studies. I did an internship in D.C. on Capitol Hill and was fully planning on returning when school was all said in done. But by the time I graduated, my photography consumed more of my passions. I found I loved capturing people’s memories and preserving them. To me, being able to tell someone’s story is an art, and it is one I take very seriously.

So here I am, having been full time for almost 3 years now and I regret nothing about taking this path. It has taken me to so many beautiful places and allowed me to meet some of the most amazing people. It’s an honor to be apart of people’s memories that are beautiful and happy and raw.

-I’ve been to 49/50 states (so if you’re getting married in Alaska hit me up)

-I’ve been married for 3 years to my husband Dayton

-I’ve lived in several states, with VA being my favorite and AZ being where I was born

-I LOVE movies. Love them. Quickest way to my heart is to ask me to see a film or buy me a DVD

-I also LOVE to read. And just about anything.

-I’d be lying if I said I did not frequent Disneyland a few times a year…

-I don’t like a lot of sports but I LOVE basketball. The Phx Suns are my home team but I’ll watch just about anyone…except for the Lakers

-God is an incredibly important part of my life. One focus of my business is to see Christ and Heavenly Father as they see everyone: With love and respect. So all are welcome here <3
